Curmudgeon is the solo project of Maltese musician Timothy Garrett. Starting the project after the dissolution of his first band, Garrett sought to change the techniques he was using to make music previously, and treated Curmudgeon as a learning experience, with the added benefit of this learning experience of producing pieces of music which would go on to make up several of Curmudgeon's releases. Over time, Curmudgeon has become more of a home-recorded studio project. The heavy use of improvisation, as well as the use of samples, field recordings, and other such sounds serve to make the sound of Curmudgeon a sonic experience which is different from any other.
