Arctica is the artist pseudonym of Eugene Topchiev, an ambient and drone composer, sound designer and producer based in Ukraine. The project was started in 2014 and is inspired by artists like Steve Roach, Mathias Grassow, Klaus Wiese... His music is based on drone sounds and field recordings, combined with different experiments. Mostly his music is meditative and minimalistic. He released more than 30 works so far, including albums and EPs that were released on various labels, on digital format and some of them on CD.
